Job Title: Business Development Director

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Director to lead our business growth and expansion efforts in Ethiopia. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing business strategies to drive revenue growth, improve market share, and enhance our company’s competitive position. This is a senior leadership role that requires a strong understanding of the Ethiopian market, excellent business development skills, and the ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies to drive revenue growth and improve market share
• Conduct market research and analyze industry trends to identify new business opportunities
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and suppliers
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, joint ventures, and acquisitions
• Lead and manage a team of business development professionals to achieve business objectives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to drive business growth
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and other business development metrics to measure performance

Requirements

• MBA or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field from a reputable Ethiopian university
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and improving market share
• Strong understanding of the Ethiopian market and industry trends
• Excellent business development, sales, and marketing skills, with the ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders
• Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading and managing high-performing teams
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Proficiency in Amharic and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
