JOB SUMMARY
The Branch Coordinator acts as the single point of accountability for the branch, consolidating and directly executing the finance, operations, road cargo, mail and courier, shipment recovery, commercial, IT and systems, and HR and services functions that at Head Office are handled by separate specialist units The position ensures the branch runs as a fully compliant, self-sufficient extension of Ahununu Trading PLC safeguarding company cash and assets, delivering shipments accurately and on time, resolving service exceptions, sustaining local revenue growth, keeping branch systems and equipment operational, and maintaining a disciplined, well-supervised branch team in the absence of dedicated department staff on site.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Finance
Cash management control, daily receipts, and reporting compliance.
Control and safeguard branch cash, safes, and petty cash in line with ATP finance policy.
Collect, count, and reconcile daily receipts from courier, cargo, and shipment transactions.
Prepare and submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly cash and revenue reports to Finance.
Ensure timely and complete bank deposits/transfers of branch collections.
Maintain supporting documentation (receipts, vouchers, waybills) for all financial transactions and audits.
2. Branch Operations
Core branch workflows, localized KPI achievement, cost management, and team leadership.
Supervise and coordinate the branch’s day-to-day operational workflow end to end.
Track and drive achievement of branch-level KPIs cascaded from Corporate KPI pillars.
Control branch operating costs, resource use, and utilization of company assets.
Lead, coach, assign duties to, and appraise branch staff to sustain performance and service quality.
Maintain accurate operational records, logs, and branch performance reports for Head Office review.
3. Road Cargo
Ground fleet coordination, route dispatching, and transit efficiency.
Coordinate local ground fleet availability, loading, and readiness for scheduled dispatches.
Plan and confirm route dispatch schedules in line with RCTO transit timelines.
Monitor cargo transit efficiency and escalate route delays or vehicle issues promptly.
Verify cargo manifests, waybills, and load documentation before dispatch and on arrival.
4. Mail & Courier
Last-mile courier logistics, sorting, and communications.
Oversee sorting and routing of incoming and outgoing mail and parcels for accuracy and speed.
Coordinate last-mile courier delivery assignments and monitor delivery turnaround.
Maintain clear communication with AOD and customers on delivery status and exceptions.
Ensure proper handling and storage of mail and courier items to prevent loss or damage.
5. Shipment Recovery
Lost cargo tracking, exception reporting, and client resolutions.
Track and investigate lost, delayed, or misrouted shipments originating from or destined to the branch.
Log and report service exceptions, damages, and irregularities through the proper channel.
Liaise with clients to resolve shipment complaints and provide timely status updates.
Coordinate with Head Office Shipment Recovery on unresolved or high-value cases.
6. Commercial
Regional sales alignment, account retention, and business growth.
Support execution of regional sales and marketing initiatives at branch level.
Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing local accounts to ensure retention.
Identify and refer new business opportunities to grow branch revenue.
Gather and relay local market and competitor intelligence to the Commercial division.
7. IT & Systems
Local software uptime, hardware maintenance, data sync protocols, and system management.
Monitor local uptime of operational software and escalate outages to IT & Systems promptly.
Perform basic upkeep of branch hardware (scanners, printers, computers) and report faults.
Ensure timely and complete data synchronization between the branch and central systems.
Enforce data access, backup, and system-use protocols within the branch.
8. HR & General Services (GS) or Corporate facilities
Attendance tracking, disciplinary enforcement, team management, and office utilities.
Track and record branch staff attendance, leave, and punctuality.
Enforce workplace discipline and company policy, escalating cases per HR procedure.
Manage day-to-day supervision, scheduling, and welfare of branch personnel.
Oversee branch office utilities, supplies, and general services to keep the branch functional.

About You
Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Management, Business Administration, or another related field.
Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leader position.
Good communication, leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Required Experience
Experience in logistics, courier services, transportation, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations.
Good understanding of the Ethiopian logistics and transportation sector.
Experience in fleet management or dispatch operations is an advantage.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
