Job Title: Branch Business Relationship Manager – RMSME for Jimma
Brief Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Branch Business Relationship Manager – RMSME to join our team in Jimma. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and large corporate clients, identifying business opportunities, and providing tailored financial solutions to meet their needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Ethiopian market, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven track record of success in business development and relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential SME and corporate clients to identify business opportunities and provide tailored financial solutions
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the SME and corporate segments
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including credit, risk, and product teams, to develop and implement business strategies and solutions for SME and corporate clients
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure high levels of client satisfaction through regular engagement and feedback
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with SME and corporate lending, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Meet or exceed business development and sales targets, and contribute to the growth and expansion of the bank’s SME and corporate business in Jimma
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, relationship management, or a related field, preferably in the banking or financial services industry
- Proven track record of success in business development and relationship management, with a strong understanding of the Ethiopian market and SME and corporate segments
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify business opportunities and develop tailored financial solutions
- Fluency in Amharic and English, with knowledge of local languages (e.g. Oromiffa) an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
