Job Title: Branch Business Relationship Manager – RMSME for Jimma

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Branch Business Relationship Manager – RMSME to join our team in Jimma. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Retail Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (RMSMEs) in the region, identifying new business opportunities, and providing tailored financial solutions to meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to grow the RMSME portfolio in the Jimma region
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential RMSME clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored financial solutions
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new business opportunities and stay up-to-date with industry trends
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including credit, risk, and product teams, to ensure seamless delivery of financial services to RMSME clients
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to client inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) for RMSME business growth and customer acquisition

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field from a reputable Ethiopian university
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in business development, relationship management, or sales, preferably in the banking or financial services industry
  • Proven track record of success in growing a portfolio of RMSME clients and meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong understanding of the Ethiopian business environment, particularly in the Jimma region, and the needs of RMSMEs
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Amharic and English, with knowledge of local languages (e.g. Oromiffa) an advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and outside the box
