Banking Business Officer I

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Banking Business Officer I to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling the bank’s products and services to individuals, businesses, and corporations, as well as providing excellent customer service and support to existing clients. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in banking, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities to increase the bank’s market share and revenue
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients to promote the bank’s products and services
• Conduct financial analysis and provide financial solutions to clients
• Provide excellent customer service and support to clients, responding to their inquiries and resolving their complaints in a timely and professional manner
• Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of banking services to clients
• Stay up-to-date with changes in the banking industry, market trends, and competitor activities, and make recommendations to management accordingly

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in banking, finance, or a related field, preferably in a business development or customer service role
• Professional certification in banking, such as Certified Banking Professional (CBP) or similar, is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of banking products and services, including loan and deposit products, credit analysis, and risk management
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze financial data and make sound business decisions
• Fluency in English and Amharic is required, with knowledge of other local languages being an advantage
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and experience with banking software and systems
