Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Learning and Adaptation Support

• Support implementation of learning and adaptation plans across programs
• Assist in organizing and documenting:
o Pause-and-reflect sessions
o After-Action Reviews (AARs)
o Quarterly and thematic learning reviews
• Capture learning questions, insights, and agreed adaptation actions
• Track implementation of adaptation decisions and follow-up actions

Development of Learning and Knowledge Products

• Support development of learning and knowledge products, including:
o Learning briefs and synthesis notes
o Thematic insight summaries
o Program reflection and adaptation notes
• Assist in synthesizing findings from:
o Monitoring data
o Evaluation results
o Research studies
o Field and partner feedback
• Ensure learning products are clearly written, evidence-based, and action-oriented

Learning-Driven Research Support

• Support the Manager in learning-driven and adaptive research activities
• Assist with:
o Literature reviews and desk research
o Tool development and data collection support
o Basic data cleaning and analysis
• Help document research findings and link them to learning outputs

Knowledge Management Systems and Documentation

• Support operation and maintenance of knowledge management systems (e.g. SharePoint)
• Organize, upload, tag, and archive:
o Learning products
o Research and evaluation outputs
o Tools, methodologies, and datasets
• Apply documentation standards, naming conventions, and version control
• Support onboarding and access to knowledge resources for staff and partners

Integration with Digital MERL Systems

• Support linking of learning and knowledge products to Digital MERL dashboards and datasets
• Assist in tagging, metadata assignment, and traceability between evidence and learning outputs
• Help identify gaps in documentation or knowledge capture

Coordination and Knowledge Sharing

• Coordinate with MERL, program, and operations teams to collect learning inputs
• Support internal knowledge-sharing activities and peer learning sessions
• Assist in preparation of learning materials for internal and donor engagements

Support Communication and Visibility Support

• Support development of communication materials for quarterly reports, impact snapshots, learning briefs, and social media.
• Support to Produce photo stories, short videos, testimonials, and infographics aligned with SAFEE branding and guidelines.
• Support documentation during events, workshops, field visits, and partner engagements.
• Produce human-interest stories, case studies, and profiles

About You
Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Economics, Social Sciences, Knowledge Management, Public Policy, or a related field
• Master’s degree in a relevant field is an advantage

Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in learning, MERL support, research support, or knowledge management roles
• Experience supporting learning processes or knowledge documentation is an advantage
• Exposure to donor-funded programs and evidence-based programming preferred
• Field experience is an asset

Technical Skills

• Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources
• Strong writing and documentation skills
• Experience using document management systems (e.g. SharePoint)
• Familiarity with Digital MERL, MIS, or data systems is an advantage
• Basic research and data handling skills preferred
