Job Title: Pharmacy Technician (St Paul’s Hospital Millenium Medical college)

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team at St Paul’s Hospital Millenium Medical college. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting pharmacists with dispensing medication, maintaining patient records, and providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists with dispensing medication, including filling prescriptions and preparing medication for distribution
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medication histories and allergy information
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to patient inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as answering phone calls, processing payments, and managing inventory
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of pharmacy services

Requirements

  • Diploma in Pharmacy Technology from a recognized institution, such as the Ethiopian Pharmaceutical Association or a TVET college
  • Registration with the Ethiopian Food and Drug Administration (EFDA) as a Pharmacy Technician
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a pharmacy or healthcare setting, preferably in a hospital environment
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing and inventory management
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with pharmacy software applications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities
