Job Title: Pharmacy Manager
Brief Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Manager to oversee the daily operations of our pharmacy. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. The Pharmacy Manager will also be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve pharmacy services, managing budgets, and maintaining relationships with healthcare professionals and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the pharmacy, including dispensing medication, counseling patients, and maintaining patient records
- Supervise and mentor a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care
- Develop and implement strategies to improve pharmacy services, including quality improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction programs
- Manage budgets, including inventory management, expense control, and revenue growth
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, including licensing, accreditation, and safety standards
- Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and other stakeholders
- Analyze data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to optimize pharmacy operations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (BPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from a recognized Ethiopian university
- Valid license to practice pharmacy in Ethiopia, issued by the Ethiopian Food and Drug Administration (EFDA)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmacy management, with a proven track record of leadership and management skills
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, including dispensing, inventory management, and patient counseling
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and pharmacy management software
- Membership in the Ethiopian Pharmaceutical Association (EPA) or other relevant professional organizations is an advantage
