Job Description

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced consultant to develop and pilot an AI-Assisted Digital and Financial Literacy Learning Platform for Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) in Ethiopia. The consultant will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing a user-friendly and accessible platform that provides MSEs with the necessary skills and knowledge to improve their digital and financial literacy. The platform should be tailored to the needs of Ethiopian MSEs and align with the country’s economic development goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct a needs assessment to identify the digital and financial literacy gaps among MSEs in Ethiopia
  • Design and develop a comprehensive and user-friendly AI-Assisted Digital and Financial Literacy Learning Platform
  • Develop a content strategy and create engaging and interactive learning materials for the platform
  • Pilot the platform with a selected group of MSEs and gather feedback for improvement
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including MSEs, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies, to ensure the platform meets their needs and expectations
  • Provide training and support to MSEs on how to use the platform and access its resources
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the platform and make recommendations for future improvements

Requirements

  • A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
  • At least 5 years of experience in developing and implementing digital learning platforms, preferably for MSEs or similar audiences
  • Proven expertise in AI-Assisted learning technologies and their application in digital and financial literacy
  • Excellent understanding of the Ethiopian MSE sector and its digital and financial literacy needs
  • Strong project management and coordination skills, with experience in managing multiple stakeholders and timelines
  • Fluency in Amharic and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with Ethiopian educational and professional standards, including the Ethiopian Qualifications Framework (EQF)
