National MNCH-N Technical Advisor

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced National MNCH-N Technical Advisor to provide technical assistance to our team in Ethiopia. The successful candidate will work closely with government stakeholders, healthcare providers, and other partners to improve the quality and accessibility of maternal, newborn, and child health and nutrition (MNCH-N) services. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the health and well-being of women and children in Ethiopia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance to the Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH) and regional health bureaus to strengthen MNCH-N policies, strategies, and programs
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, NGOs, and other stakeholders to improve the quality and accessibility of MNCH-N services
  • Develop and implement training programs for healthcare providers on MNCH-N topics, including maternal and newborn care, child health, and nutrition
  • Conduct assessments and analyses to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement in MNCH-N services
  • Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation plans to track progress and impact of MNCH-N programs
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and conferences to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing on MNCH-N topics

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Public Health, Nutrition, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
  • At least 5 years of experience in MNCH-N programming, preferably in Ethiopia
  • Proven expertise in MNCH-N technical areas, including maternal and newborn care, child health, and nutrition
  • Strong understanding of the Ethiopian health system and MNCH-N policies and programs
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Fluency in English and Amharic (spoken and written) is required; proficiency in other local languages is an asset
  • Computer literacy, including MS Office and data analysis software
