Job Description

Job Title: Call for Proposal- Design, Supply, Installation, Commissioning and Maintenance of Solar Photovoltaic (Hybrid) Systems for 11 Schools in the Tigray Region, Ethiopia

Brief Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced company to design, supply, install, commission, and maintain Solar Photovoltaic (Hybrid) Systems for 11 schools in the Tigray Region, Ethiopia. The successful bidder will provide a comprehensive solution that meets the energy needs of the schools, ensuring a reliable and sustainable source of power. This project aims to improve the learning environment and enhance the overall educational experience for students in the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site assessments and surveys to determine the energy requirements of each school
  • Design and develop a customized Solar Photovoltaic (Hybrid) System for each school, taking into account the local climate, energy demand, and existing infrastructure
  • Supply and deliver all necessary equipment and materials for the installation of the Solar Photovoltaic (Hybrid) Systems
  • Install, test, and commission the Solar Photovoltaic (Hybrid) Systems, ensuring that they are functional and meet the required standards
  • Provide training and capacity-building programs for school staff and maintenance personnel on the operation, maintenance, and repair of the Solar Photovoltaic (Hybrid) Systems
  • Offer maintenance and repair services for a specified period, ensuring that the systems remain operational and efficient

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, installing, and maintaining Solar Photovoltaic (Hybrid) Systems, with a proven track record of successful projects in Ethiopia or similar contexts
  • A valid business license and registration with the relevant Ethiopian authorities
  • A team of qualified and experienced professionals, including engineers, technicians, and electricians, with expertise in Solar Photovoltaic (Hybrid) Systems
  • Compliance with Ethiopian laws and regulations, including those related to labor, health, safety, and environmental protection
  • Adequate financial resources and capacity to undertake the project, with a minimum annual turnover of ETB 10 million
  • Ability to provide performance guarantees and warranties for the equipment and services provided
