Job Title: Terms of Reference (ToR) AKOFADA — Advancing Knowledge on Financial Accessibility and DFS Adoption

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to develop a comprehensive Terms of Reference (ToR) for the AKOFADA project, aiming to advance knowledge on financial accessibility and Digital Financial Services (DFS) adoption in Ethiopia. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the project’s direction, objectives, and scope, ensuring that it aligns with the organization’s strategic goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct a thorough review of existing literature and research on financial accessibility and DFS adoption in Ethiopia
• Develop a comprehensive ToR that outlines the project’s objectives, scope, timelines, and expected outcomes
• Identify key stakeholders, their roles, and responsibilities in the project
• Design a methodology for data collection, analysis, and reporting
• Develop a detailed work plan, including milestones and deadlines
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure that the ToR is aligned with their expectations and requirements

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Development Studies, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 5 years of experience in developing ToR, research, or project management, preferably in the financial sector
• Proven knowledge of financial accessibility, DFS adoption, and the Ethiopian financial sector
• Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Familiarity with Ethiopian regulatory frameworks and policies related to financial services
• Proficiency in Amharic and English languages is required
