Ethiopia Logistics & Operations Senior Coordinator

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Logistics & Operations Senior Coordinator to join our team in Ethiopia. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of logistics and operational activities, ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of our services. This is a senior role that requires strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement logistics and operations strategies to achieve business objectives
• Oversee the management of warehouses, inventory, and supply chain operations
• Coordinate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and customer service, to ensure alignment and effective communication
• Manage and supervise a team of logistics and operations staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
• Analyze data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements
• Build and maintain relationships with external partners, including suppliers, vendors, and contractors

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics and operations management, preferably in a senior role
• Proven track record of success in managing logistics and operations teams, with a strong focus on efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and develop process improvements
• Knowledge of Ethiopian logistics and operations regulations, including customs clearance, transportation, and warehousing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics management software, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly
• Fluency in Amharic and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages
