Job Title: General Foreman/Superintendent

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled General Foreman/Superintendent to oversee and coordinate construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate construction activities, including planning, organizing, and supervising construction projects
• Develop and implement construction schedules, budgets, and quality control measures
• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company standards
• Supervise and manage construction teams, including foremen, engineers, and laborers
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met
• Identify and mitigate potential risks, issues, and delays, and develop contingency plans as needed
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety protocols

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
• Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and quality control
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety protocols
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines
• Valid Ethiopian driver’s license and willingness to travel to construction sites as required
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Project, and experience with construction management software
