Junior Logistics Officer

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Junior Logistics Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing the movement of goods, supplies, and equipment in a timely and cost-effective manner. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in logistics and supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with suppliers, warehouses, and transportation providers to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of goods and supplies.
• Plan and manage logistics operations, including route planning, cargo handling, and inventory management.
• Monitor and track shipments, resolve any issues that may arise during transportation, and ensure that goods are delivered on time and in good condition.
• Analyze data and reports to identify trends and areas for improvement in logistics operations.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and sales, to ensure alignment and effective communication.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field from a reputable Ethiopian university.
• 0-2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with logistics management software.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Knowledge of Ethiopian customs regulations, transportation laws, and logistics industry standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines, with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
