Job Title: Import Documentation Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Import Documentation Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and processing import documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and coordinating with various stakeholders to facilitate smooth import operations. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and process import documentation, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and customs declarations
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including customs regulations, tax laws, and other regulatory requirements
• Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth import operations
• Verify and validate import documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to import documentation
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of import documentation and transactions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Logistics, or International Trade
• Minimum 2 years of experience in import documentation or a related field
• Knowledge of Ethiopian customs regulations, tax laws, and other relevant laws and regulations
• Experience with import documentation software and systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with various stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with the ability to read, write, and speak in both languages
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
