Call for Consultants on Life Skills and Employability Skills Refresher Training of Trainers (TOT) Under the STEP A.A Project

Brief Summary

We are seeking experienced consultants to provide refresher training of trainers (TOT) on life skills and employability skills under the Support to the Ethiopian Private Sector (STEP) Addis Ababa project. The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering high-quality training to build the capacity of trainers and enhance the employability skills of youth in Ethiopia.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive training manual and materials on life skills and employability skills for trainers
• Design and deliver a refresher training program for trainers, focusing on life skills and employability skills
• Conduct training sessions, facilitate group discussions, and provide coaching and mentoring support to trainers
• Assess the training needs of trainers and provide recommendations for future training programs
• Collaborate with project staff to ensure the training program aligns with the project’s objectives and goals
• Prepare and submit a detailed report on the training program, including outcomes and recommendations

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 5 years of experience in training and development, with a focus on life skills and employability skills
• Proven expertise in designing and delivering training programs for trainers, with a strong understanding of adult learning principles
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to work with diverse groups of trainers and stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess training needs and develop effective training programs
• Familiarity with the Ethiopian education system and labor market, with a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing youth in Ethiopia
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
