Job Title: Logistics Supervisor

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Supervisor to oversee and coordinate our logistics operations in Ethiopia. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods, supplies, and equipment. Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise the movement of goods, supplies, and equipment
• Manage and maintain relationships with logistics service providers, including transportation companies and warehouses
• Monitor and analyze logistics costs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving initiatives
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
• Supervise and train logistics staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively
• Analyze logistics data and prepare reports to inform business decisions
• Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics or a related field, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
• Professional certification in logistics or supply chain management, such as CILT or APICS, is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian logistics regulations and laws
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics management software
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with knowledge of other local languages being an advantage
