Job Title: Assistant Trader

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Trader to join our trading team. The successful candidate will assist in the execution of trades, provide market research and analysis, and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of trades, including buying and selling of commodities, securities, and other financial instruments
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks
• Provide market updates and recommendations to the trading team and senior management
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders
• Monitor and manage trading positions, including risk management and portfolio optimization
• Collaborate with the trading team to achieve business objectives and goals

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum 2 years of experience in trading, finance, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of financial markets, instruments, and trading strategies
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and trading software applications
• Professional certification in trading or finance, such as CFA or CFTe, is an advantage
• Fluency in Amharic and English is required; knowledge of other local languages is a plus
