Logistics Assistant / Driver

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Assistant / Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing logistics support, driving company vehicles, and ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods, materials, and personnel. Key Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles to transport goods, materials, and personnel to various destinations
• Plan and coordinate routes to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods and materials
• Load and unload cargo, and ensure that all goods are properly secured and protected during transportation
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including dates, times, and locations
• Conduct regular inspections of company vehicles to ensure that they are in good working condition and comply with regulatory requirements
• Provide logistics support, including receiving and storing goods, and preparing them for transportation
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that logistics operations are aligned with organizational goals and objectives

Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in Logistics, Transportation, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian institution
• Valid Ethiopian driver’s license, with a minimum of 2 years of driving experience
• Excellent knowledge of Ethiopian roads, traffic laws, and regulations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, customers, and suppliers
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability
• Basic computer skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Office and other software applications
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and work in a physically demanding environment
• Fluency in Amharic and English, with knowledge of other local languages an added advantage
