Job Title: Transport and Fleet Administration Head

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Transport and Fleet Administration Head to lead our transportation and fleet management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and safe operation of our company’s vehicles, managing fleet administration, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. This is a senior management role that requires strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective fleet management strategies to optimize vehicle utilization, reduce costs, and improve safety
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition and meet safety standards
• Manage the allocation and assignment of vehicles to employees, departments, and projects
• Coordinate with external service providers, such as fuel suppliers, maintenance contractors, and insurance companies
• Monitor and analyze fleet performance metrics, such as fuel consumption, vehicle downtime, and accident rates
• Develop and enforce fleet management policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Provide training and guidance to drivers and other fleet staff on safety procedures, vehicle maintenance, and company policies
• Manage the fleet budget, including forecasting, planning, and controlling expenses

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Logistics, Transportation Management, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 5 years of experience in fleet management, transportation, or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or management role
• Proven knowledge of Ethiopian traffic laws, regulations, and industry standards
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make informed decisions
• Experience with fleet management software and technology
• Certification in fleet management, transportation, or a related field is an added advantage
• Fluency in English and Amharic is required, with knowledge of other local languages being an advantage
