Job Title: Virtual Job Fair (VJF) Pilot Model Designer and Evaluator
Brief Summary
We are seeking an experienced professional to design, execute, and evaluate a sector-focused Virtual Job Fair (VJF) pilot model in Addis Ababa. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive plan to create a virtual job fair platform, facilitating connections between job seekers and employers, and assessing the effectiveness of the pilot model. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative employment solutions in Ethiopia.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop a sector-focused Virtual Job Fair (VJF) pilot model in Addis Ababa, aligned with the needs of the local labor market
- Conduct stakeholder analysis and engage with key partners, including employers, job seekers, and training institutions, to ensure the VJF pilot model meets their needs
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing and promotion plan to attract participants to the virtual job fair
- Facilitate connections between job seekers and employers through the virtual job fair platform, and provide support to ensure successful matches
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the VJF pilot model, identifying areas for improvement and recommending scaling-up strategies
- Prepare and submit a detailed report on the design, execution, and evaluation of the VJF pilot model, including lessons learned and recommendations for future improvements
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Marketing, Human Resources, or Communications, from a recognized Ethiopian university
- At least 5 years of experience in event management, marketing, or human resources, with a focus on employment promotion and job placement
- Proven experience in designing and executing virtual events, including webinars, conferences, and job fairs
- Excellent project management and coordination skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, including employers, job seekers, and training institutions
- Fluency in English and Amharic, with excellent writing and reporting skills
- Familiarity with the Ethiopian labor market and employment trends, with a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the sector
- Experience with data analysis and evaluation, with the ability to assess the effectiveness of programs and events
