TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR TRANSLATOR

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Translator to join our team at Beleqet Jobs. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality translation services, ensuring that all materials are accurately and culturally translated to meet the needs of our clients. Key Responsibilities

• Translate a wide range of documents, including job postings, company descriptions, and other relevant materials from English to Amharic and vice versa.
• Review and edit translations to ensure accuracy, quality, and cultural relevance.
• Conduct research to stay up-to-date with industry terminology and cultural nuances to ensure translations are accurate and relevant.
• Collaborate with the content team to ensure that all translated materials meet the required standards and are published in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain a glossary of key terms to ensure consistency in translation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university.
• At least 3 years of experience in translation, preferably in a job board or recruitment agency setting.
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with excellent writing and editing skills in both languages.
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian culture and industry terminology.
• Proficiency in computer-assisted translation tools and software.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain high-quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
