Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Team Lead to oversee the implementation of the LIWAY Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of professionals to achieve the program’s objectives, ensuring high-quality delivery, and promoting a culture of excellence and innovation. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the LIWAY Program team, ensuring alignment with the organization’s overall mission and goals
  • Develop and implement program work plans, budgets, and monitoring and evaluation frameworks
  • Lead and manage a team of professionals, providing coaching, mentoring, and capacity-building support to ensure high-performance and career development
  • Foster strong partnerships and collaborations with stakeholders, including government agencies, civil society organizations, and private sector entities
  • Oversee the development and implementation of program interventions, ensuring that they are evidence-based, effective, and sustainable
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and standards, as well as relevant laws and regulations

Requirements

  • Masters’ degree in a relevant field, such as Development Studies, Social Sciences, or Business Administration, from a recognized Ethiopian university
  • At least 5 years of experience in a leadership or management position, preferably in a development program or project
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing teams, with a focus on results-based management and performance improvement
  • Strong understanding of the Ethiopian development context, including the social, economic, and political environment
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Fluency in English and Amharic is required; knowledge of other local languages is an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Experience with program management tools, including monitoring and evaluation software, is an asset
