Procurement and Supply Chain Officer

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement and Supply Chain Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement and supply chain functions of our organization, ensuring that all goods and services are sourced efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and supply chain management, with excellent analytical and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and efficiency
• Manage the procurement process, including sourcing, tendering, and contract management
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure smooth supply chain operations
• Analyze market trends and make recommendations for procurement and supply chain improvements
• Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and policies
• Manage and coordinate logistics and transportation of goods and services
• Develop and manage budgets for procurement and supply chain activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, preferably in a similar industry
• Professional certification in procurement and supply chain management, such as CIPS or CPSM, is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian procurement regulations and laws
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in MS Office and procurement software, such as SAP or Oracle
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
