Job Title: Supply Chain Officer – Procurement

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Supply Chain Officer – Procurement to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring that goods and services are acquired in a timely and cost-effective manner. The Supply Chain Officer – Procurement will work closely with various stakeholders to identify procurement needs, develop procurement plans, and implement procurement strategies that meet the organization’s objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement plans and strategies to meet the organization’s needs
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their suitability
• Negotiate contracts and prices with suppliers to ensure value for money
• Manage the procurement process, including tendering, bidding, and contract management
• Ensure compliance with procurement regulations, policies, and procedures
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
• Collaborate with other departments to identify procurement needs and develop procurement plans
• Analyze data and reports to identify trends and areas for improvement in the procurement process

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a similar industry
• Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management, such as CIPS or APICS, is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations in Ethiopia
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with excellent written and spoken communication skills
