Job Title: Supply Chain Assistant

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Supply Chain Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the supply chain team in managing the flow of goods, products, and related information from raw materials to end customers. This role will involve coordinating with various stakeholders, including suppliers, logistics providers, and internal teams to ensure efficient and cost-effective supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the procurement of goods and services, including preparing and processing purchase orders and requests for quotations
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any supply chain disruptions or issues
• Monitor and track inventory levels, including managing stock levels, tracking inventory movements, and identifying areas for improvement
• Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure efficient transportation and storage of goods
• Analyze data and reports to identify trends and areas for improvement in the supply chain
• Provide administrative support to the supply chain team, including maintaining records and files, and preparing reports as needed

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 1-2 years of experience in a supply chain or logistics role, preferably in a similar industry
• Knowledge of supply chain principles, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with knowledge of other local languages an advantage
