Job Title: Structural Engineer

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer to join our team. As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and inspecting structural systems, including buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure projects. You will work closely with our team of engineers and architects to ensure that our projects are safe, efficient, and meet the required standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and design structural systems, including beams, columns, foundations, and other components
• Conduct site investigations and inspections to assess the condition of existing structures
• Develop and review structural drawings, specifications, and calculations
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
• Perform structural analysis and simulation using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other specialized tools
• Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians

Requirements

• BSc or MSc degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum 5 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in a consulting engineering firm or construction company
• Professional certification from the Ethiopian Association of Civil Engineers or a related professional body
• Strong knowledge of structural analysis, design, and simulation software, including CAD, STAAD, and ETABS
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
