Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
Provide technical oversight to ensure integrated protection and SRH services are delivered in line with the government policies and strategies.
Support the operationalization of the National Guideline for Clinical Management of Rape and Intimate Partner Violence and other relevant protocols.
Provide technical leadership to strengthen the integration of protection and SRH services at health facilities, One-Stop Centers, and community levels.
Develop/adapt SOPs, referral tools, job aids, and service standards contextualized to regional realities (including pastoralist settings).
Conduct regular supportive supervision and quality improvement visits
Protection and GBV Response
Provide technical support to strengthen survivor-centered GBV response services, including case management, psychosocial support, and safe referrals.
Support functional and confidential referral pathways linking health facilities, police, legal aid, and social services.
Strengthen safe spaces and community-based protection mechanisms for girls at risk of child marriage, FGM, and other harmful practices.
Assist to ensure safeguarding, confidentiality, and ethical standards are maintained across all service delivery points.
Support coordination with justice and law enforcement actors at woreda and regional levels.
SRH Service Strengthening
Provide technical support to strengthen comprehensive adolescent- and youth-friendly SRH services at primary health care units
Promote integrated outreach strategies through Health Extension Workers (HEWs) and community platforms.
Ensure inclusion of girls with disabilities, internally displaced girls, and marginalized pastoralist communities.
Support climate-sensitive and emergency-responsive service delivery approaches in drought- and conflict-affected areas.
Qualifications and Experience
Master’s degree in Public Health, Reproductive Health, Social Work, Gender Studies, or related field.
Minimum 7–10 years of progressive experience in protection and/or SRH programming in Ethiopia.
Strong knowledge of Ethiopia’s GBV, child protection, and adolescent SRH policy frameworks.
Proven experience in capacity building and supportive supervision.
Experience working in pastoralist or humanitarian settings is an asset.
