Job Title: Senior Research Officer

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Research Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing research projects, as well as analyzing and interpreting complex data to inform business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in research methodology, data analysis, and reporting, with excellent communication and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement research projects to address business needs and objectives
• Develop and manage research budgets, timelines, and resource allocation plans
• Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights
• Prepare and present research reports, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research insights into business strategies
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging research methodologies
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior research staff

Requirements

• Masters degree in a relevant field such as Social Sciences, Economics, Statistics, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 5 years of experience in research, with a focus on data analysis, reporting, and project management
• Proven track record of designing and implementing research projects, with a strong understanding of research methodology and data analysis techniques
• Excellent communication, presentation, and reporting skills, with the ability to communicate complex research findings to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in statistical software such as SPSS, SPSS, SPSS, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with excellent writing and presentation skills
