Job Title: Quality Management & Continuous Improvement Officer (QMCIO)

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Quality Management & Continuous Improvement Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems and processes to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with regulatory requirements. The QMCIO will work closely with various departments to identify areas for improvement, develop and implement corrective actions, and monitor progress to achieve quality and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Identify areas for improvement and develop corrective actions to address quality issues and improve overall performance.
  • Conduct internal audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of quality management systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with various departments to develop and implement quality-related projects and initiatives.
  • Analyze data and metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain quality-related documentation, including policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Provide training and support to employees on quality management systems and processes.
  • Monitor and report on quality performance metrics and progress towards quality objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Quality Management, Business Administration, or Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality management, continuous improvement, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and standards, such as ISO 9001.
  • Experience with internal audits, assessments, and corrective action development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with various departments.
  • Familiarity with Ethiopian regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Certification in quality management, such as CQM or Six Sigma, is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Amharic and English languages is required.
