Job Title: Senior Procurement Expert- Foreign

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Expert- Foreign to join our team in Ethiopia. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the procurement function, developing and implementing procurement strategies, and ensuring compliance with international procurement standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve organizational goals and objectives
• Lead and manage the procurement team to ensure effective and efficient procurement processes
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify new procurement opportunities and vendors
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers and vendors to achieve best value for the organization
• Ensure compliance with international procurement standards, regulations, and best practices
• Manage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, vendors, and internal customers
• Develop and implement procurement policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistency and fairness
• Provide training and capacity-building programs for procurement staff to enhance their skills and knowledge

Requirements

• Masters degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field from a recognized university
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
• Professional certification in procurement, such as CIPS, ISM, or equivalent
• Proven track record of success in leading procurement teams and developing procurement strategies
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think strategically
• Familiarity with Ethiopian procurement laws and regulations, as well as international procurement standards and best practices
• Fluency in English, with ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational and time management skills
