Senior Officer Engineer

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Officer Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing engineering projects, providing technical expertise, and ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and other team members
• Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress against these
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and identify potential issues
• Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that projects are aligned with organizational goals and objectives
• Identify and mitigate risks, and develop contingency plans as necessary
• Ensure that all projects are compliant with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards

Requirements

• BSc or MSc degree in a relevant field of engineering (e.g. civil, mechanical, electrical, etc.) from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of successfully managing engineering projects
• Professional certification or registration with a relevant professional body (e.g. Ethiopian Engineering Professionals Registration and Licensing Council)
• Strong technical skills and knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and procedures
• Excellent project management, leadership, and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
