Job Title: Senior District Digital Officer

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior District Digital Officer to lead the development and implementation of digital strategies in our district operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting digital literacy, improving digital infrastructure, and enhancing the overall digital presence of our organization at the district level. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement digital strategies to enhance the district’s online presence and engagement
• Conduct needs assessments and provide training to district staff on digital tools and platforms
• Collaborate with district stakeholders to design and implement digital solutions that address local needs and challenges
• Provide technical support and maintenance for digital infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network systems
• Analyze data and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of digital initiatives and make recommendations for improvement
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in digital technology and make recommendations for adoption and implementation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a digital or IT role, with at least 2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory position
• Proven experience in digital strategy development, digital literacy training, and digital infrastructure management
• Strong technical skills in areas such as network administration, database management, and software development
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
• Fluency in Amharic and English is required; knowledge of other local languages is an asset
• Willingness to travel to district locations as required
