Sand Plant and Cullet Plant Supervisor

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced Sand Plant and Cullet Plant Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our sand and cullet plants. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe production of high-quality sand and cullet products, while also meeting customer demands and adhering to company standards. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operations of the sand and cullet plants, including production, maintenance, and quality control
• Ensure that all plant operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Monitor and control production costs, including labor, materials, and equipment expenses
• Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that products meet customer specifications and company standards
• Coordinate with other departments, such as sales and logistics, to ensure that customer demands are met and products are delivered on time
• Provide training and guidance to plant employees, including new hires and existing staff, to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or industrial engineering, from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in the glass or construction materials industry
• Knowledge of sand and cullet production processes, including equipment operation and maintenance
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of employees
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, customers, and other stakeholders
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions to ensure production targets are met
• Proficiency in MS Office and other software applications, including production management and quality control systems
• Fluency in Amharic and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages
