Job Title: Research Assistants (Quantitative Data Collectors)
Brief Summary
We are seeking highly skilled and detail-oriented Research Assistants to join our team as Quantitative Data Collectors. As a Research Assistant, you will play a crucial role in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to inform research studies and projects. Your expertise will contribute to the development of high-quality research outputs, and your attention to detail will ensure the accuracy and reliability of our data.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement data collection tools, such as surveys and questionnaires, to gather quantitative data from various sources
- Conduct data cleaning, coding, and analysis using statistical software, such as SPSS, STATA, or R
- Develop and maintain databases to store and manage large datasets
- Collaborate with research team members to identify research questions, develop study protocols, and implement data collection plans
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and confidentiality, and adhere to ethical standards and guidelines
- Prepare and present research findings, including reports, graphs, and other visualizations, to stakeholders and research team members
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in data collection, analysis, and interpretation, preferably in a research setting
- Proven proficiency in statistical software, such as SPSS, STATA, or R, and data management tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work collaboratively with research team members and stakeholders
- Fluency in English and Amharic, with ability to communicate complex research concepts and findings to non-technical audiences
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
