Job Title: Project Manager (Priority Sectors Investments)

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the Recovery and Reform Support Team at the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects focused on priority sector investments, ensuring effective implementation, and driving economic growth in Ukraine. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the country’s recovery and reform efforts, working closely with government agencies, international organizations, and private sector stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets to achieve priority sector investment goals
  • Coordinate with government agencies, international organizations, and private sector stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective collaboration
  • Conduct sectoral analysis and research to identify investment opportunities and potential areas for growth
  • Manage project risks, issues, and changes, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines and budgets
  • Monitor and evaluate project progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including government officials, investors, and private sector representatives
  • Prepare and present project reports, updates, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, International Development, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in project management, investment promotion, or a related field, with a focus on priority sectors such as agriculture, energy, or infrastructure
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects, with a strong focus on results-driven implementation and stakeholder engagement
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong understanding of the Ukrainian economy, priority sectors, and investment climate
  • Fluency in English and Ukrainian, with proficiency in other languages (such as Russian) an asset
  • Experience working with government agencies, international organizations, and private sector stakeholders, with a strong network of contacts in Ukraine and internationally
  • Certifications in project management (such as PMP or PRINCE2) and/or investment promotion (such as CIPA) an asset
