Senior Network Administrator

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Administrator to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our computer networks, ensuring they are secure, efficient, and meet the needs of our organization. The Senior Network Administrator will play a key role in troubleshooting network issues, upgrading and expanding our network infrastructure, and providing technical support to our users.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain computer networks, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and the Internet
• Ensure network security and integrity by implementing firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security measures
• Troubleshoot network issues and provide technical support to users
• Upgrade and expand network infrastructure as needed to meet the growing needs of the organization
• Collaborate with other IT staff to ensure seamless integration of network services with other systems and applications
• Develop and implement network maintenance and backup procedures to ensure high availability and reliability
• Monitor network performance and make recommendations for improvements

Requirements

• BSc degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 5 years of experience in network administration, with a focus on LAN/WAN design, implementation, and maintenance
• CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or equivalent certification is required
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and HTTP
• Experience with network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption technologies
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide technical support to non-technical users
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results
