Project Senior Planning Engineer (Building)

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Senior Planning Engineer (Building) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring the progress of building projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and resource allocation plans to ensure timely completion of projects
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions as necessary
• Coordinate with project stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and clients to ensure effective communication and issue resolution
• Analyze project data and provide regular progress reports to management, highlighting areas of concern and recommending corrective actions
• Identify and mitigate potential risks to the project, developing and implementing risk management plans as necessary
• Collaborate with the project team to ensure that all aspects of the project are properly planned, executed, and controlled

Requirements

• BSc or MSc degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on building projects
• Professional certification, such as a registered engineer with the Ethiopian Ministry of Works and Urban Development, is an advantage
• Proven experience with project management software, including MS Project, Primavera, or similar tools
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Fluency in English, with Amharic language skills an advantage
