Job Title: Project Officer

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the project management team in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of projects. The Project Officer will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects, and will be responsible for coordinating project activities, managing project documentation, and providing administrative support as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of project plans, budgets, and schedules
  • Coordinate project activities, including meetings, workshops, and training sessions
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, reports, and correspondence
  • Provide administrative support to the project management team, including preparing minutes, reports, and presentations
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and recommend solutions
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including project partners, vendors, and beneficiaries
  • Assist in the development of project reports, including progress reports, final reports, and evaluation reports

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
  • At least 2 years of experience in project management, administration, or a related field
  • Proven experience in project coordination, planning, and implementation
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Fluency in English and Amharic, with ability to communicate effectively in both languages
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Experience working with project management tools and software, such as Asana, Trello, or MS Project
  • Ability to work in a team environment, with a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration
