Project Manager (Project-based)
Brief Summary
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Project Manager to lead our project team on a project-based contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement project plans, resource allocation plans, and project schedules
- Coordinate and lead project teams, including setting goals, monitoring progress, and providing feedback
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effectiveness
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, and develop contingency plans as needed
- Communicate project status, progress, and issues to stakeholders, including project sponsors, team members, and customers
- Ensure project quality standards are met, and that projects are delivered to the required specifications
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure project alignment with business objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of successfully managing projects from start to finish
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, methods, and techniques, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and direct project teams
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box
- Proficiency in project management tools, such as Asana, Trello, MS Project, or similar software
- Fluency in English and Amharic is required, with knowledge of other local languages being an advantage
