Project Manager (High-Rise Construction)

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee high-rise construction projects in Ethiopia. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure successful project execution
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met
  • Manage and supervise project teams, including site managers, engineers, and administrative staff
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions
  • Manage project risks, including identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks
  • Coordinate with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and other external stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Analyze project performance data, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to optimize project outcomes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in high-rise construction project management, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Professional certification in project management, such as PMP or PRINCE2, is an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of Ethiopian construction laws, regulations, and industry standards
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize activities to meet deadlines
  • Fluency in Amharic and English, with proficiency in MS Office and project management software
