Education

Minimum BA/BSc in Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Community Development, Development Studies, and related social and behavioral science fields.
Relevant project management certification.
Project DPro certification (preferred).
Experience

6 years’ experience working in a similar senior position in NGO/INGOs.
Experience in team leadership/supervision
Extensive experience in programme development, management and monitoring.
Strong knowledge and experience in Child Protection in programming and current policy.
Experience working with vulnerable children and families.
Thorough understanding of the regional socio-cultural situation.
Language Requirements

Fluency in Somali (Local language).
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Amharic

Excellent interpersonal, communication, reporting, and presentation skills.

Proven ability to establish and maintain effective communication with partners and colleagues.
High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
Project cycle management (planning, implementation, monitoring, and closure)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Training design and facilitation skills
Staff supervision and performance monitoring

Deliver project activities on time, within scope, and to required quality standards.
Oversee MEAL processes, ensuring accurate data, reporting, and learning.
Coordinate effectively with government, partners, and internal teams.
Provide staff supervision and ensure compliance with HFJ policies and procedures.
