PROJECT FIN/ HR MANAGER – Southwest Omo Zone

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Fin/HR Manager to join our team in the Southwest Omo Zone. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial and human resources aspects of our projects, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures, and contributing to the overall success of our operations. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial management systems, policies, and procedures to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to support informed decision-making by project stakeholders.
- Lead the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of new staff members, ensuring compliance with organizational HR policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement HR systems, policies, and procedures to ensure effective staff management and development.
- Manage staff performance, provide coaching and mentoring, and address performance issues in a fair and timely manner.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of financial and HR functions with overall project operations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards related to finance and HR in Ethiopia.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a project management or international development context.
- Professional certification in finance, accounting, or HR (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or SHRM) is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles, practices, and regulations in Ethiopia.
- Experience with HR management systems, policies, and procedures, including recruitment, selection, and staff development.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Fluency in English and Amharic is required; knowledge of local languages in the Southwest Omo Zone is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial management software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
