Job Title: Project Director

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Director to lead our team in delivering high-profile projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The Project Director will also be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement project strategies, plans, and budgets to achieve project goals and objectives
• Lead and manage cross-functional project teams, including engineers, architects, and contractors
• Coordinate and manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials
• Identify and mitigate project risks, and develop contingency plans as needed
• Monitor and control project progress, including schedule, budget, and quality
• Communicate project status and issues to clients, stakeholders, and team members
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management
• Minimum 8 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
• Strong knowledge of project management principles, methods, and techniques
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Certification in project management, such as PMP or PRINCE2, is an advantage
• Fluency in English and Amharic is required, with knowledge of other local languages being an advantage
