Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Natural Resources and Forestry Program Director, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for:

Project Management: Oversee the implementation of project activities across three zones and six woredas, ensuring compliance with project objectives, timelines, and budgets.
Coordination: Serve as the main point of contact between regional authorities, local communities, and donors (NORAD and the Development Fund of Norway).
Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor and evaluate project progress, providing detailed reports to EWNRA management and donors.
Capacity Building: Organize training programs and workshops to enhance the capacity of local communities, government officials, and project staff in sustainable forest management and livelihoods.
Resource Management: Ensure efficient resource allocation in line with project guidelines and donor requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate community participation and protect local stakeholders’ rights throughout the project lifecycle.
Risk Management: Identify project risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
Documentation & Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely project documentation, meeting EWNRA, donor, and regulatory compliance standards.

For Both positions

Salary: As per EWNRA’s salary scale.

Terms of Employment: 12-month contract, with the possibility of extension for up to four years, based on performance.
About You
Qualifications and Experience:

Educational Requirements:

M.Sc. in Forestry, Agroforestry, Natural Resource Management, Watershed Management, Natural Resource Economics and Policy, or a related field.Experience:

At least 5 years of relevant NGO experience in the management of forestry, natural resource, or environmental projects or programsAdditional Requirements:

Proficiency in MS Office, GIS, and other relevant software.
Strong written and oral English skills for report writing and communication
Strong teamwork skills, gender sensitivity, and excellent interpersonal abilities.
Commitment to continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
