Purpose and Job Summary:

The CP-GBV & CP Project Coordinator is responsible for the leadership and technical support of CP-GBV & CP project interventions, including strategic planning, technical leadership,
capacity building, support and supervision of staff, internal and external coordination and representation, proposal development, and reporting of the overall of the project implementation.

Major roles and responsibilities of the position

Technical Support

• Under the supervision of the AWA’s program and project coordinator takes the lead on implementation of the CP-GBV/CP response project, related activities and initiatives.
• Facilitates the development of work plans with AWA regional office and zonal offices to provide technical support in the CP-GBV& CP prevention and response project; assesses progress and follows up to ensure timely implementation, and review project progress in annual review meetings.
• Reviews district work plans and ensures the relevant components are consistent with the project results and the regional project results and resources framework
• Provides technical support to Zonal and woreda level government entities/departments and local bodies and agencies to plan and implement CP, CP-GBV prevention and response projects.
• Liaises closely with the AWA team on CP & CP-GBV Prevention and Response to ensure timely and high-quality implementation of project activities, sharing of knowledge and information, proper monitoring, and adjustments to project strategies based on learning as the project proceeds
• Shares knowledge products with AWA zonal and district level officers and provides technical support upon request of the CP-GBV project officer and Community Mobilization Officer based in the districts.
• Provides technical input within AWA as well as for Zonal and district government departments and local bodies and line agencies on integration of gender, CP-GBV prevention and response
• Provides technical input during conduction of assessments in line with protection concerns, and closely monitor survey with the partner for the delivery of quality service.
Communication, Advocacy, and Knowledge Management
• Contributes to the design and implementation of behavioral change communication campaigns by providing inputs to and implementing specific and targeted IEC/BCC interventions on gender equality and women’s empowerment issues for the prevention and response to CP-CP-GBV.
• Attends/engages with zonal and district coordination mechanisms to ensure effective coordination of partners
on CP-CP-GBV prevention and response.
Contributes to knowledge creation by continually documenting lessons learned, good practices, and replicable strategies, and actively shares this knowledge

Maintains productive and professional relation with other humanitarian agencies at project intervention area.
Oversees awareness raising activities through outreach and awareness campaigns on CP & CP-GBV, Mental health, PSEA and SRH.
Coordinates and supports Child protection & Women and girls at risk of CP-GBV to receive different CP & CP-GBV services and support in all project intervention woredas.
Facilitates and coordinates different skill development activities, recreation activities for women and girls as well as children at WGSS and CFS.
Leading the Project Team

Oversees the project team under his responsibility and ensure regular planning and reporting on regular basis
Provide the necessary technical and administrative support for the field team in North Shoa Zone, Merhabetie woreda and Shoa Robit town.
Ensures the smooth communion among the team and with AWA staffs at regional, Zonal and kebele level
Executes any additional responsibility given by AWA that might be deemed appropriate for the implementation of CP-CP-GBV project and other related activities.
Monitoring and Evaluation

Prepares and implement a joint facilitative supervision and monitoring plan with central level implementing partners, in line with project objectives.
Supports staff in the development of a monitoring checklist and tools and its implementation;
Assists project team in preparing monthly, quarterly, biannual and final monitoring reports
Analyzes trends and recommend appropriate actions for improved effectiveness of the programs.
About You
Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience

Master’s or BA degree in social work, sociology, psychology, Gender and development, child protection, public health and relevant fields of social sciences and health.
Knowledge and skills of and ability to implement integrated CP-CP-GBV prevention and responses,
Typically, 5+ years of coordinator experience in related to CP-GBV and CP program design and managementAt least three year of international, humanitarian experience
Awareness of or interest in community based protection mechanisms.
Proven experience in designing and implementing child protection and CP-GBV trainings to a variety of stakeholders.
Direct case management and experience working with children, women and adolescents is an asset
Knowledge and experience on child protection & Gender Based Violence programming including prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA) is an asset
Extensive training in the fields of CP-CP-GBV, psycho-social wellbeing, case management and application of
international technical guidelines and standards in Child Protection and CP-GBV
