Job Title: Procurement Expert

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Procurement Expert to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating all procurement activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as local and international regulations. The Procurement Expert will play a key role in sourcing high-quality goods and services, negotiating contracts, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve company objectives
• Conduct market research and analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings
• Source and evaluate potential suppliers, ensuring they meet company standards and requirements
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
• Manage and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify procurement needs and develop solutions
• Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, such as tax laws and trade agreements
• Monitor and report on procurement performance, identifying areas for improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in a similar industry or sector
• Professional certification in procurement, such as CIPS or CPIM, is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian procurement laws and regulations, as well as international trade agreements
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with procurement software and systems
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with knowledge of other local languages an advantage
