Job Title: Office Engineer Head

Brief Summary

The Office Engineer Head will be responsible for overseeing the engineering operations within our organization, ensuring that all projects are completed efficiently and effectively. The successful candidate will have a strong background in engineering and leadership, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. The Office Engineer Head will work closely with the management team to develop and implement engineering strategies, as well as provide technical support to other departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engineering policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company goals
• Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their jobs effectively
• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed
• Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and maintenance, to ensure effective communication and coordination of engineering activities
• Analyze data and reports to identify trends, optimize engineering operations, and improve overall performance

Requirements

• BSc or MSc degree in a relevant field of engineering (e.g., civil, mechanical, electrical) from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a related engineering field, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role
• Professional certification, such as PE (Professional Engineer) or CEng (Chartered Engineer), is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and standards, as well as relevant Ethiopian regulations and laws
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of engineers
• Proficiency in engineering software and tools, such as CAD, CAE, and project management systems
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
