Job Title: Office Engineer (Civil/Construction)

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Office Engineer (Civil/Construction) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to our construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The Office Engineer will work closely with our site teams, consultants, and clients to deliver exceptional results and maintain our company’s reputation for excellence in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the flow of technical information between the site team, consultants, and clients
• Prepare and review technical documents, including drawings, specifications, and reports
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and provide technical support to the site team
• Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies
• Collaborate with the project management team to develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior staff members and assist with their development and training
• Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that could impact the project timeline, budget, or quality

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD, as well as experience with project management software
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
• Professional certification, such as a license from the Ethiopian Ministry of Construction and Urban Development, is an advantage
